What is 'Si Dian Jin' 四点金?
Si Dian Jin is a Chinese traditional custom that is widely practised.
Si Dian Jin translates to 'four touches of gold' in Chinese and it was inspired by traditional Teochew house roofs. As a betrothal present, the groom's mother gives the bride a four-piece jewellery set that includes a ring, a necklace, a bangle, and a pair of earrings, symbolising a happy future for the newlyweds.
Si Dian Jin jewellery frequently incorporates traditional and symbolic designs to symbolise a happy marriage. For example, the Dragon and Phoenix bangle symbolises a divine union and bestows blessings on a long-lasting marriage.
"Si Dian Jin isn't only made of gold,
it's made of culture, love and blessings."
